I was in the Punta Gorda area in late September and needed a massage badly before going back to Michigan. I contacted Dave and he responded quickly to my phone call. Not only was he able to get me in his schedule in a short period of time he extended my massage from 60 to 90 minutes. I had never had a massage, but my sciatica was so painful I needed to do something. I found Dave in the yellow pages. He did a deep massage which left me down for 2 days, On the third day I woke completely pain-free. After only one treatment. 2 Years later the same thing again. I recently had 2 surgeries in 8 hours and was almost bedridden, I knew if I did not do something I would not be walking. Dave is absolutely the best massage therapist. I suffered for a Month with headaches, facial pain, leg and feet numbness, I had two MRIs, 2 ct scans, and an ultrasound and everything came back normal but I was suffering horribly. Was seeing a chiropractor twice a week but still no relief. Dave Mowry is the best massage therapist I have ever had the opportunity to work with. I have had a persistent knot under my left shoulder blade that has been there for 3 years. This knot is quite painful and affects my daily activities. I have been very motivated to get some relief from this spasm and have tried 6-7 massage therapists, 2 chiropractors, and 3 physical therapy clinics in the Port Charlotte/North Port area. A good friend recommended Dave to me after she gave me a goodbye hug and said "Oh my God...you feel awful! "...meaning the tightness in my back. she then said, "You need my friend Dave!" I have since had 5 massages and, I know it sounds corny but, so far, the 'current' end result has been truly life-changing. osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, 4 spinal fusions, knee replacement, shoulder replacement, and 2 failed hand surgeries (probably a few other biggies but I've painted a clear enough picture of misery) have left me a bit broken, limited, and yes, depressed. what a change in 5 sessions with Dave! he took the time to really get to know me and my history and 'tackle' my body accordingly. after the third session, he told me he was certain massages were going to help because that day he was able to basically 'break through' the tough, top layer of tissue and actually start some deep tissue massage. he also told me that at the end of our first session, he was quite sure that he would have to tell me that massage was not going to help me. Dave doesn't work on you for 'the buck'! he genuinely cares about his clients and their overall well-being and won't continue to work on a client if that client is unresponsive to massage.......he has many other positive things to do with his time! I'm well on my way to being the 72-year-old woman I want to be! I was a little concerned about having a strange man come to my home for a massage, but my husband was there and I really needed help with pain. After the 1st visit, that initial pain that had plagued me for over a year was fixed and stayed good for about 8 months.
